About us

The Centro Regionale di Monitoraggio della Sicurezza Stradale, the regional centre for road safety monitoring, has been created by the Piedmont Regional Road Safety Plan, enacted by the Regional Council on April 16 2007. It manages this website.

The centre for monitoring Piedmont’s road safety has been created by the 2007 Regional Road Safety Plan to coordinate and support all the stakeholders engaged in addressing road safety problems in Piedmont.

IRES (the Regional Institute of Socioeconomic Research) has been entrusted with making the centre operational over the next three years.

CSI-Piemonte (Consorzio Sistemi Informativi del Piemonte), the regional computer centre for local government, will see to developing the information communication platform required to support the  monitoring function of the centre.

Complying with the e-government accessibility requirements all the information produced by the monitoring centre are published in this web-site.

The road safety monitoring centre has the following tasks:

  • Monitoring accident events on Piedmont’s roads

  • Coordinating the province and municipality centres on road safety

  • Supporting the evaluation of road safety actions undertaken by the different administrations

  • Making it accessible to the general public the all the information about road safety.
